This is a small list of myths regarding males that need to disappear:
1. All men like to watch sports - Many men, including myself, find televised sport events to be highly tiresome, repetitive and stale in comparison to other entertainment types such as films, historical shows and science fiction just to name a few things.
2. All men want to only date pretty girls - This is perhaps the hardest to shake from all the myths in here. Many so-called men like to brag of getting the best of the best when it comes to women - all for satisfying a narcissistic point of view. Many men, however, will not only date, but will marry women who will seem sub-standard to the common society member. Many men even find pretty girls to be highly obnoxious, tedious and egocentric.
3. All men like to drink a lot - There's men who are teetotalers - i.e. don't drink alcohol. Some men drink little amounts, in which once again, I can include myself.
4. Men aren't emotional - When remembering failures, when thinking of their own hardships or even those of other people, or when seeing a sentimental piece of art, men can also show emotions and have empathy towards other sentient beings.
5. Men like discussing sexual escapades with women - Though not a myth per se, many women seem to disregard the fact that men, for the most part, dislike hearing about women's other relationships. Men hate to talk about the past when it comes to relationships, as simple as that.
6. Men don't mind being big, but want their women to be small - the last of the relationship myths here, some men have also worries about their weight just as some women do too. On the other hand, some men don't mind being heavy, or having heavy women next to them.
7. Men are filthy and disorderly by nature - depending on their concept of attractiveness, obsessive cleanliness, or upbringing, many men love to be clean - esp. with their person.
8. Men love to be profane in their talk - from a personal point of view I highly dislike profanity. Even when highly infuriated, I try to dismiss profane language as much as possible, as excessive or constant profanity is tasteless, tacky, and demeaning to the speaker as well as to the listener.
9. Men only seek gratification - a perpetual myth spread by the distorted wave of new feminism. Many men, like I said above, feel emotions, and are willing to sacrifice their pleasurable past-times for the sake of others, including women.
And lastly...
10. Men want the toilet seat up - perhaps the most real of the myths, it is said that women want the seat down, men want the seat up - again, from a personal point of view, it's not completely true!!!
